Professor Yanda, member of the WCRP Joint Scientific Committee, has recently been appointed the Chair holder of Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Professorial Chair in environment and Climate Change of the University of Dar Es Salaam. Professor Yanda has worked extensively in environmental and climate change related studies in the region as well as in Tanzania. Between 2005 and 2007, he was one of one the international experts in the panel that made a scientific review of state of art on climate change in the globe.
