The WCRP Global Extremes Platform (GEP) is establishing a Working Group on Event Attribution, which will have a mandate to lead strategic discussions within the community on the direction of event attribution research, review existing literature and practices, and develop technical guidance on the methods and interpretation of event attribution. More details are provided in the concept note and the open call for self-nomination.
This call is an invitation for the community to directly participate in the activities of the Working Group on Event Attribution. The initial term length is four years, with the possibility to renew twice, each time for an additional two years.
