The Sixth WCRP International Conference on Reanalysis (ICR6) will take place in Tokyo from 28th October to 1st November 2024 under initiatives from the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP), the Japan Meteorological Agency, “Climate change actions with co-creation powered by Regional weather information and E-technology” (ClimCORE), and the University of Tokyo.
Interested contributors are invited to submit an abstract here.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 24 March 2024 (JST).
ICR6 will bring together reanalysis producers, observation data providers, numerical modelers and members of the user community to discuss progress, challenges and future priorities in the field. The primary aim is to guide the development and use of reanalysis data in science, public services, policy making and social/economic activity.
The conference will focus on:

- Regional reanalysis production status/plans
- Observations for reanalyses
- Methods for reanalyses
- Production of reanalyses
- Evaluations of reanalyses
- Applications of reanalyses in science and society
- Exploration of machine learning (ML) approaches in the context of reanalysis
