The European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Geophysical Union (EGU) have announced the ESA–EGU Earth Observation Excellence Award. They are looking for scientists who are in the early phases of their career and who have made an outstanding contribution to the innovative use of Earth observation. Achievements should focus on science and applications based upon Earth observations made by European satellites.

The Award will recognize, encourage, support, and promote scientific excellence of an individual scientist or a team, in accordance with ESA’s objectives, and contribution to addressing the challenges of our changing planet. The award will be awarded at a ceremony at the EGU General Assembly in April 2021. Please see the ESA website for full details. Nominations can be submitted until 2 November 2020.
