The Global Climate Observing System (GCOS), the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) and the Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS), are looking for scientists to serve on the three science panels:
- GCOS-WCRP Atmospheric Observation Panel for Climate (AOPC);
- GCOS-GOOS-WCRP Ocean Observation Panel for Climate (OOPC);
- GCOS-WCRP Terrestrial Observation Panel for Climate (TOPC).
This is a fantastic opportunity for your expertise to contribute directly to the regular reports to the UNFCCC about the status of global climate-observing capacities. The Panels’ expertise is essential for assessing the capabilities, gaps and deficiencies of current climate-observing systems.
Please see the GCOS website and the flyer detailing the call for more information.
