Huijun WANG

Professor Huijun Wang was appointed as a member of the WCRP Joint Scientific Committee (JSC) in 2019. From 2001 to 2005 he was a member of the Asia-Australia Monsoon Panel of WCRP's Climate and Ocean Variability, Predictability and Change (CLIVAR) Core Project.

Huijun is a Professor and Academic Committee Chair at the School of Atmospheric Science of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST), China. Previously, he was Professor at the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is also where he completed his PhD in 1991. He is also an Honorary professor at the University of Bergen, Norway.

Huijun is President of the China Meteorological Society, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Member of Norwegian Academy of Technological Science, President of the China National Committee of Climate Research, Member of the Norwegian Scientific Academy of Polar Research and co-chief editor of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters. Huijun has published over 280 peer-reviewed papers in English language journals, both in China and internationally.
