Poster Guidelines
See Poster Set Up and Removal Information at the Bottom
At least one of each poster’s authors must be a registered participant and present at the conference. Authors are required to stand by their poster during the daily poster session in order to answer questions.
Poster Creation Guidelines
Each presenter is provided with HALF of a 4-foot-high by 8-foot-wide poster board. The usable space for each presenter will be 4-foot-high (1.2 meters, 48 inches) by 4-foot-wide (1.2 meters, 48 inches).
- The presentation must cover the material as cited in the corresponding submitted abstract.
- Place the title of your paper and the author’s names prominently at the top of the poster board to allow viewers to identify your presentation.
- Highlight the author’s names, e-mails, and address information in case the viewer is interested in contacting you for more information.
- Prepare all diagrams or charts neatly and legibly in a size sufficient to be read at a distance of 3 feet. Paragraph and figure caption text should be AT LEAST 24-point font and headers AT LEAST 36 point font.
- Organize the paper on the board so it is clear, orderly and self-explanatory.
- Include the background of your research followed by results and conclusions. A successful poster presentation depends on how well you convey information to an interested audience.
Make your Poster Available On-line
We would like to collect all the posters as Acrobat PDFs and make them available on the conference website. Please send the PDF version of your poster to conference@gewex.org. The filename should follow this convention: Last Name_PosterNumber.pdf (i.e., Ambrizzi_AT-1.pdf). For further assistance please contact: gewex@gewex.org.
Make your Poster Available Via QR Code
QR Codes (or Quick Response 'Barcodes') are a relatively new, automated, digital way to give and receive information. To make your poster available via QR code you will need to use an application such as such as Quikqr to create a code. Attendees with a SmartPhone or iPad and a QR Code Reader Application will be able to point their device at the QR Code and the poster will be displayed on their phone.
