WCRP is proud to announce that a Workshop on Correlated Extremes will take place at Columbia University from 29 - 31 May 2019, preceded by an evening panel on 28 May 2019. The workshop reflects the emerging recognition that spatiotemporally correlated climate extremes, whose joint occurrence is attributable to internal climate-system dynamics in some cases and to significant anthropogenic influence in others, lead to significant societal impacts.
