Analizarán a la climatología extrema Más de 1.700 científicos de 84 países se darán cita entre los días 24 y 28 de octubre en la ciudad estadounidense de Denver para analizar la relación existente entre el cambio climático y los eventos de climatología extrema. El objetivo es establecer de manera científica pautas que permitan prever y mejorar la respuesta ante eventos extremos como las olas de calor, las sequías o las inundaciones y evaluar el impacto que tienen en la población y el ecosistema del planeta, lo explicó Ghassem Asrar, director del Programa de Investigación del Clima Mundial (WCRP, por sus siglas en inglés).
